NIH Bioengineering Symposium - 1998 Bioengineering: Building the Future of Biology and Medicine Bioengineering: Building the Future of Biology and MedicineFebruary 27-28, 1998National Institutes of Health Natcher Conference Center, Bethesda, Maryland Charting a vision for the future of bioengineering research is the goal of a two-day symposium sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The symposium format will include plenary sessions, panel discussions, scientific posters and exhibits related to research in biology and medicine. Plenary sessions and panels will delineate grand challenges, identify barriers to success and highlight important research themes. Posters and exhibits will provide a forum for showcasing NIH-funded bioengineering projects fostering future collaborations among academic investigators, industry and small businesses.
