    NIH Bioengineering Symposium - 1998
Bioengineering: Building the Future of Biology and Medicine

Bioengineering: Building the Future of Biology and Medicine

February 27-28, 1998
National Institutes of Health
Natcher Conference Center, Bethesda, Maryland

Charting a vision for the future of bioengineering research is the goal of a two-day symposium sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The symposium format will include plenary sessions, panel discussions, scientific posters and exhibits related to research in biology and medicine. Plenary sessions and panels will delineate grand challenges, identify barriers to success and highlight important research themes. Posters and exhibits will provide a forum for showcasing NIH-funded bioengineering projects fostering future collaborations among academic investigators, industry and small businesses.

NOTICE

The Symposium has taken place. We will be happy to provide copies of the Symposium program book and reports upon request. Audio and/or video tapes of the plenary sessions may be available, as well, for a small fee. We plan to post the reports of the symposium panels by May 1998.
